Our Mercurius Food Forest

At Mercurius, we take responsibility for our impact on the earth. That is why we are gradually creating our own food forest at Bio Agroforestry Janmiekeshoeve in Mariahout, near Eindhoven in the Netherlands. This forest is our way of contributing to CO₂ compensation while actively strengthening nature.

We work according to agroforestry principles, combining forestry and agriculture. This approach supports biodiversity, improves soil health and helps create a resilient ecosystem. Each tree represents our commitment to growing in harmony with nature – a green investment in the future.

Together for the earth
In March 2023, the Mercurius management team planted the very first tree: a linden tree, symbolising connection and vitality. In May 2023, Mercurius partners from 35 countries gathered at Janmiekeshoeve to continue planting the forest together. Soil from all these countries was placed around the linden tree, forming a powerful symbol of connection, diversity and collaboration.

Together, we care for the earth – and we are proud to do so in partnership with Janmiekeshoeve.
